Inspiring examples

Here, you have the opportunity to explore inspiring examples. These examples are from real-life to show you how schools around the world have involved different stakeholders in their daily life.

On the left you will find the opportunity to sort the examples according to your interest: classroom, school, and parents & local partners level examples. When you open an example, read the introductory paragraph with your team members. Watch the video(s) or read the text provided. Afterwards, reflect together with your team, using the reflective questions included in the examples to consider how similar processes are handled in your own institution.

The purpose of the inspiring examples is to guide you in thinking about solutions that are suitable for your context. The examples are not intended to be directly implemented in your institution, but as an inspiration.

CLASS MEETINGS: MELISSA

MELISSA'S STORY

Organizing Class meeting is an excellent means of creating a democratic classroom environment. Arranging a face-to-face circle for the meeting emphasizes interactive discussion and problem solving. Class meetings should be scheduled weekly, but allow a meeting to be called at any time by a community member.
