LATERNA MAGICA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

TAILORED APPROACH IS THE NORM

Laterna Magica, primary school in Amsterdam, wants to contribute to the development and growth of people who add value to the world. Children come to learn with us, develop their personality, interests, talents and are given the space to develop into happy people. We nurture their desire to make a difference to the community they are part of and the wider world around it. Peace, democracy, sustainability and human rights play an important role in this.

Goals

Key elements of the vision of Laterne magica's team are:

  • Every child wants to learn and is curious by nature
  • Developing self-direction
  • Exploratory learning
  • Tailered approach is the norm
  • Parents are involved

Reflective questions after reading the story

  • How are you supporting your students self-direction?
  • How have you included parents at your school?
  • How do you support exploratory learning in your
    school?
